Municipal New Building: Architectural Design
Oak Bluffs Fire-EMS Station: Oak Bluffs, MA
INTEGRATA Assists with the New Oak Bluffs Fire-EMS Station Design
In 2013 the Town of Oak Bluffs on Martha’s Vineyard, MA voted to approve replacing their 1970’s fire station which had been created originally to consolidate several smaller stations from around the town. In 2014, the Architects of Record, Keenan + Kenny Architects of Falmouth brought INTEGRATA architecture + construction on board because of our experiences with similar projects and to assist with creating drawings using our state of the art software. In a few short months, INTEGRATA was able to produce a model and working drawings that were approved by the Town of Oak Bluffs for construction which began in the fall of 2014. The new $6.4 million 20,000-square-foot structure was built by J.K. Scanlan Company, LLC of East Falmouth and was completed in the fall of 2015. The new building is considerably larger than the existing structure and is home to the Fire, EMS and Emergency Management Departments. There are training, bunk rooms, offices, a kitchen and apparatus bays which house the fire trucks and ambulances.
